MarketDecode AI (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Market Decode application (the “App”) and the website at marketdecode.ai (the “Website”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our services.

1. Data We Do NOT Collect

Market Decode is designed with a privacy-first architecture:

• We do not collect personal information (name, email, phone number) unless you voluntarily contact us
• We do not track your location
• We do not use advertising SDKs or tracking pixels
• We do not use third-party analytics services
• We do not sell, rent, or share user data with any third parties
• We do not build user profiles or behavioral models

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Watchlists: The tickers you choose to follow
• App preferences: Display settings, notification preferences, theme choices
• Cached content: Previously downloaded editions for offline reading
• Reading history: Which editions you've viewed (for display purposes only)

This data remains on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app. We have no access to it.

3. Network Requests

The App makes network requests to fetch market intelligence content (editions, ticker data, analysis). These requests:

• Are encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security)
• Use certificate pinning for additional security
• Do not include personal identifying information
• Do not include device fingerprinting data
• May include a randomly generated device identifier for rate limiting purposes only

4. Authentication (Optional)

The App supports optional sign-in via Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google. If you choose to sign in:

• We receive only the minimum information required by the authentication provider (typically an email address or anonymized identifier)
• Authentication is handled directly by Apple or Google — we do not see or store your password
• Sign-in is used solely to enable features like cross-device watchlist sync
• You can use the App without signing in

5. Third-Party Services

The App displays interactive financial charts provided by a third-party charting service. This widget:

• Loads directly from the provider's servers
• May set its own cookies for functionality
• Is governed by the provider's own privacy policy
• Does not share any of your Market Decode data with the provider

We do not use any other third-party services that collect user data.

6. Data Security

We implement the following security measures:

• TLS encryption for all data in transit
• Certificate pinning to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks
• App Attest (Apple's device verification) to ensure authentic app instances
• No server-side storage of personal user data
• Minimal data exposure — we only request and process what's needed to deliver market intelligence

7. Cookies

The Website (marketdecode.ai) does not use cookies for tracking or analytics. The mobile App does not use cookies. The only cookies that may be present are:

• Essential cookies set by the third-party charting widget for its functionality
• Standard session cookies if you interact with our support forms

8. Children's Privacy

Market Decode is rated 17+ on the App Store due to the nature of financial content. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 17. The App is not directed at children and should not be used by anyone under the age of 17.

9. Your Rights (CCPA / GDPR)

Since we do not collect personal data, most data rights requests are not applicable. However, we respect your rights under applicable law:

• Right to Know: We've disclosed what data we handle in this policy
• Right to Delete: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. Since we don't store personal data on our servers, there is nothing to delete on our end
• Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell personal data
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights
